N5410010 This luxurious baroque castle has already accommodated personalities like Maria Theresia, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Napoleon Buonaparte, Arturo Toscanini and Maria Callas.  It was mentioned for the first time in 1297.

 During the 18th century, during the Turkish wars, the castle was altered into a baroque country castle with drawbridge against intruders. This unique castle consists of a main building (approx.

1000 m ² floor space) and annexes with 3 separate apartments, a guest's wing, a separate villa, a gardning house and caretaker's house.  Garages for 6 cars exist and there is a Pavillion for parties, complete with bar and kitchen as well as a stable with room for 5 horses.

In the main building there is a delightful hall with an open fireplace.  From the windows one can see the nearby Wallersee.

The location of the castle is also unique!  It is located in the middle of a lake area, only 20 minutes from the city of Salzburg.  There is an 18 hole golf course, designed by the golf legend, Jack Nicklaus, which can be reached in just 10 minutes by car.
